I installed a new chat widget out on the left side.  Feel free to try it out.  Even if you don't have an aol, yahoo, google talk or other chat account you can still chat with me.  If I'm not online I will get the message when I do get online.  The user is just listed as guest so just let me know who I'm talking too.

Happy Mother's day to all you mothers out there.  Me and Tracey have been put into the greeters rotation at Grace where we are going to church.  Today was our first day doing it.  Basically we just stand at the door and greet people and give them a bulletin.  Since we had to be there early anyway we decided to show up for prayer.  They usually have prayer for about 30 minutes before the service.  Pastor Mark leads and they usually break the prayer up into different sections and anyone who feels led can add to the prayer as we go.  We really enjoyed it, so I'm sure we will try and make it a regular part of our Sunday worship.

We of course prayed for lots of ministries that the church is getting togther.  We also prayed for mothers.  I couldn't help but to thank God for mine and all the times she got us up early so she could read us a chapter in the Bible before we went to school. At the time I was just wishing I could go back to bed but I have grown to appreciate those times and the effort my Mama put forth.  Thanks Mama!  It is a good thing for a mother to read her children scripture.  They my not appreciate it then, but remember scripture. Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.(Proverbs 22:6)

Casey Harpe also wrote a really nice blog about his mama today.  He wanted to put something goofy at the end but after he wrote such a beautiful tribute to all the mothers in his life, he felt it was out of place.  So in his, Ms. Lynne's and my Mama's honor I will post it here.  Enjoy and have a great Mother's Day everybody!
